The Calapi Day Care Center has been awarded an "Outstanding" accreditation rating by the DSWD Regional Office VIII, the highest level given to day care facilities in Western Samar province. The center currently serves 42 children ages 3–5. The accreditation team commended the center for its well-maintained learning materials, structured curriculum aligned with the Enhanced ECCD Checklist, clean and safe environment, and the dedication of Day Care Worker Maricel Castillo. "We invested in new educational toys, reading books, and playground equipment from the barangay MOOE to ensure our children get quality early education," said Kag. Rosalinda Cruz (Social Welfare Committee). The center also provides supplementary feeding using the local vegetable garden produce.
